ENDA Episode 84→ The time when ENDA faces a Screen Burn-in (Part 1)
Each one tackles a completely different problem, and this project is no exception.
I know, I know… ENDA just keeps stacking new shots onto his plate. The silver lining? Each one tackles a completely different problem, and this project is no exception.
This time we’ve landed a screen burn‑in project, where we must replace the original monitor content while preserving every property that made it look real in‑camera.
Sounds simple, but this shot brings its particular challenges:
➡️ Camera Shake: the camera is unstable and moves unsteadily.
➡️ Light Flickering: it affects the monitor itself and the elements surrounding it, like the microphone and the character’s glasses.
➡️ Curved Screen: no flat plane here; perspective warps along the edges.
➡️ Interactive Lighting: the replacement footage has to cast the right glow onto surrounding surfaces.
How will we tackle each of those hurdles? Well…. that would be for future posts.
So… stay tuned!
The journey continues…
