ENDA Episode 44→ The time when ENDA found shots in the least expected places
was on the look for good paint-out shots for the projects and here I have a video clip full of moments worth of practicing complicating paint-outs
Recently I was assigned to look for shots to work on a paint-out project at Alpha Chromatica Education (ACE).
To ensure I found the right shots, I was fully immersed in rewatching a couple of movies I enjoyed during the last year and their behind-the-scenes footage.
I was going at a good pace and it was time for a break, so I played the last video clip of the Online Live “Sing your World” from YOASOBI.
I have rewatched that part of the film many times for many reasons: first, the song “Gunjō” is amazing, second I love the mise-en-scène of the video, and third, the amazing job of the orchestra.
YOASOBI - Gunjō
But it wasn’t until today that it hit me: the cameramen and the camera equipment are always present in the background or crossing the scenery during the shots. I have gotten used to it because of how well the editing is done and because I stopped giving it importance after many rewatches.
However, today was different: I was on the look for good paint-out shots for the projects and here I have a video clip full of moments worth of practicing complicating paint-outs:
✅ Confetti falling in many shots.
✅ Light changing.
✅ Reels of a dolly placed at the center of the scenery.
✅ A camera dolly moving in many shots.
✅ A camera crane in the background that moves.
✅ The musicians move while the cameramen follow them.
It couldn’t be more perfect, but… I still have to sort it out against all of the other options from movies that I have already found and that I also wish to work for their complexity.
So… only one can be picked.
Which one would be picked? Well, that would be for a future episode…
Stay tuned!
