ENDA Episode 246 → The time when ENDA tells a little secret called: AnimBuddy (Part 2)
There, we can see how the AnimBuddy curves are represented and, most importantly, how they change with every adjustment to the parameter sliders.
In a previous episode, we talked about how AnimBuddy can help us create animations for our parameters, and even tweak them to achieve a better result.
Today, it is all about how we can go further.
In the video below, we can see how it is possible to connect more than one parameter to the same AnimBuddy node, then adjust both curve parameters to gain even more control over the effect.
However, the most important feature appears when we open the Curve Editor.
There, we can see how the AnimBuddy curves are represented and, most importantly, how they change with every adjustment to the parameter sliders.
Amplitude controls the height of the curves.
Wave Length controls the distance between the curves.
Max/Min Value sets the limits for how the values will change during the animation.
And the list can continue with more tests and results.
This graphic representation allows us to understand how the animation changes throughout the frame range. It also helps us make decisions without having to preview the comp every time we adjust the animation curve.
But is this all AnimBuddy can do?
Maybe yes, maybe not…
The answer might come in a future episode.
So, stay tuned!
The journey continues...
