I’ll confess it: math and I never saw eye-to-eye. Maybe because it was my lowest-scoring subject, or because the time when a teacher laughed at my decision to choose a university more focused on letters than numbers. Perhaps it was that some teachers knew every math theorem, but not how to make me love the numbers. 

Whatever the reason, I vowed: the moment I graduated, I was done with math forever.

So when I enrolled in an Audiovisual Communications Faculty, I thought I’d finally escaped the algebraic abyss. No more equations, just cameras, sound, and storytelling. 

How wrong I was…

Even in a “creative” faculty, the ghosts of math found me in unexpected places.

But that’s a tale for another episode…
