ENDA Episode 07→ The time when the Endless Apprentice met the Grand Line of VFX (Part 4)

“Welcome to the New World!” - that would have sounded as welcoming as any other phrase, but actually, it is not.

When I arrived in the New World, my initial impressions were not that different from “Paradise”, in fact as I expected I managed to successfully secure my permanent immigration status just a few months after arriving, something unthinkable on the island in “Paradise” where I was staying.

I naively believed with that and the reel that I have worked during my time in “Paradise” would allow me to secure a job in the New World. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

As I mentioned before, during my training in “Paradise” I committed a terrible mistake that can be regarded as “I went too easy on myself”. Whenever I got the chance to pick a harder shot to work or to get ambitious with one that I already had, I just got scared and played it safe, because I was afraid of not finishing it.

As a result, yes I obtained the Observation and Armament Haki, but their colors wouldn’t be strong enough for the New World.

Moreover, it was here that I confirmed the existence of the Emperors of the Sea, which here will be called the Emperors of the VFX. Entities that have reached as high as anyone could in the VFX world, these entities are users of the Supreme King Haki to an advanced level, and let’s not talk about the color of their other Hakis.

Those are the walls to surpass in this part of the Grand Line. However, before them, you have to enter first to the industry and for that, you need to pass the quality filter.

It is safe to say that until today I have not been successful and I thought about what could have I been missing since the start of my journey.

It wasn’t till one day that I could reconnect with one figure I met briefly in “Paradise”, someone that in One Piece’s terms will be the “Dark King of VFX”. Thanks to that encounter I realized my own mistakes during my first training and the very big wall to climb in the New World.

That’s when I made two important decisions: the first, I wouldn’t let the New World crush me, no matter what, I would not back down or return either to “Paradise” or back to East Blue without having achieved something.
